Project Description

This project was developed to replace an existing run-down building on a small parcel just south of downtown Fargo, ND. The design consists of a three-story commercial office building with an additional accessible rooftop greenspace for employees to utilize. The building is to be built with typical masonry construction to match surrounding context and provide the area with a building that will last for decades.

This project was designed for a parcel just south of downtown Fargo directly across from Island Park. A three-story commercial office building to be built with typical masonry construction. Designed to house an industrial design firm, the building features a large main floor production area with adequate space for any equipment future businesses might have. A presentation room is located next to the production space to be used for regular company meetings or to showcase production to possible clients through abutting glass partitions. A central stair opens to the second floor providing two additional conference rooms, private offices, space for desks, and a lounging area, and a breakroom are located. The third floor models the floor plan of the second with additional space for desks as the central stair does not continue upward. The privacy of the third floor allows for leasing opportunities if additional space is not needed. An elevator is integrated to the back of the building that services each floor. Two fire stairs allow for adequate circulation with two means of egress in case of a fire. The roof top green space was designed for employees to enjoy overlooking Island Park under the pergola.

The traditional means of masonry construction paired with this classic tailored design come together into a building that can truly stand the test of time.
