Project Description

Herdina Addition was a small housing addition to be added to a doublewide trailer located in Tuscon, AZ. The client requested the addition to be designed for the west side of the existing structure that would provide added space for the existing master bedroom as well as flexible space that could be utilized for different purposes such as a family room. The client also requested two front doors, one with a stair to enter the home and one to allow for loading and unloading. An initial site analysis was conducted to provide code information relating to setbacks and allowable building area. The setbacks allowed for an 8’ wide structure to be added onto the side of the existing structure the entire 36’ length of the home. The addition was to butt into the existing roof line without any alterations to the current roof. The new roof was designed to be fairly flat with a minimum ½” per foot slope away from the house. The built project was completed at the beginning of March and has successfully addressed all of the clients requests.

Project construction was completed by the client.
